Keep in hard, alkaline water with added calcium for shell health and feed sinking wafers or blanched vegetables. Leaves healthy plants alone and is safe with peaceful fish, but avoid puffers, loaches, and fin nippers that pick at its tentacles. Egg clutches are laid above the waterline.
