My listings

My listings is where you manage every classified ad you've posted: see how each is doing, renew, mark sold, edit, repost or delete.

How do I get to My listings?

• Tap the list icon next to the Messages icon in the top bar (on a computer).
• Open your account menu and choose My listings.
• Go to Dashboard & settings, where it's under Your stuff. Your settings menu also lists it as Your listings.
• Use the My listings link in the site footer.
• On any of your own listing pages, tap Manage this listing.

You need to be signed in. Signed out, the page shows Sign in to see your listings with a Sign in button.

What's at the top of the page?

• The heading My listings.
• A count of your ads, like "7 total". If any ads are waiting to be published, it adds, for example, "· 2 waiting to be published".
• A Post free ad button that opens the Post it free form.
• If you have drafts, an amber note (see the drafts section below).

What does the page look like if I have no ads?

You'll see Nothing posted yet, "Free to post, and it takes about a minute.", and a Post your first listing button that opens the post form.

What's shown for each listing?

Your ads are listed newest first (by the date you first posted them). Each row shows:

• The cover photo, or a fish placeholder if there are no photos. Tap it to open the ad.
• A status badge: active, sold, expired, draft or removed.
• The category.
• The title. Tap it to open the ad.
• The price (or "Free" or "Contact for price") and the area, with your town if you gave one. Wanted ads skip the price.
• Views, like "34 views".
• Unread, like "2 unread", if buyers have messages you haven't read. Tap it to go to Messages.
• Bumped, like "Bumped 3 days ago": when the ad was posted or last renewed or reposted.
• For active ads only, days left, like "12 days left". It turns amber at 7 days or fewer and reads "expires today" on the last day.

The page shows up to your 200 most recent ads.

What does each status mean?

• active: live. Buyers can see it on area pages, Every listing, search and your profile.
• sold: you tapped Mark sold, Mark found, Mark as sold or Mark as found. It's off the classifieds and only you can see it. Wanted ads marked found also show as sold.
• expired: its 45 days ran out. Off the classifieds, only you can see it, nothing deleted.
• draft: an ad carried over from the old version of the site that hasn't been published yet. Only you can see it.
• removed: our team took it down for breaking the listing rules. Only you can see it, and it can't be reposted.

For every status except active, opening the ad shows a banner saying it's (sold, expired and so on) and only you can see it.

Which buttons will I see, and what do they do?

The buttons under each ad depend on its status:

While a button is working, it shows a spinner and the page refreshes when it's done. All of these take effect right away.

How are views counted?

A view is counted when someone opens your active ad's page. To keep the number honest:

• Your own visits don't count.
• Each person's browser counts once per browsing session, so going back and forth doesn't add extra views.
• Views only count while the ad is active.

Views show on your listing page and cards once there's at least one. Views stay with the ad when you edit, renew or repost it.

What does "unread" mean?

The unread number is how many conversations about that ad have a new message you haven't opened yet. It's per conversation, not per message: one buyer sending three messages counts as 1. Tap it to go to your Messages inbox. Once you open those conversations, the number clears the next time you load My listings. See Messages overview.

What are drafts, and why do I have some?

Drafts are ads that came across from the old version of Underground Aquarium, before the classifieds were free. When you have any, an amber note says, for example: "2 listings came across from your old paid marketplace. Check the area on each one with Edit, then hit Publish."

To publish a draft:

1. Tap Edit on it.
2. Check the State and Closest metro area (they may not match where you are now), and update the price, photos and description.
3. Tap Save changes. This saves the ad but it's still a draft.
4. Go back to My listings and tap Publish.

It goes live for 45 days. If you don't want a draft, tap Delete. You can't create new drafts yourself: new ads go live as soon as you post them.

Common problems

An ad I posted isn't in the list. Check you're signed in to the same account you posted with. The page shows your 200 most recent ads, so very old ones beyond that won't appear. Deleted ads are gone for good.

My ad says active but I can't find it on the area page. If its days left say "expires today", it may already be hidden from buyers. Tap Renew 45 days. Otherwise, check you're looking in the right area: the area is shown on the row.

The unread count didn't go away after I read the messages. Reload My listings. The count updates when the page loads.

"That didn't save. Try again." (or another red message) The action didn't go through. Reload the page and try again. If it keeps happening, email support@undergroundaquarium.com with the message.

I tapped Mark sold by mistake. Tap Repost on the ad. It goes live again with a fresh 45 days.

I have a draft I don't recognize. It came across from your ads on the old version of the site. Publish it or delete it.
