RSVP to events

You can tell a host you're coming to an event, or mark it as one you're interested in, right on the event page. RSVPs are free and just for headcount; they aren't tickets.

How do I RSVP to an event?

1. Open the event from Events.
2. Scroll to the RSVP box at the bottom.
3. Click I'm going or Interested.

Your choice is highlighted and saved right away. I'm going changes to Going once you've picked it.

What's the difference between I'm going and Interested?

• I'm going adds you to the event's going count.
• Interested marks it for yourself without committing. It doesn't add to the going count.

You can have one or the other, not both. Picking one replaces the other.

How do I cancel or change my RSVP?

Click your current choice again to clear it (for example, click Going to un-RSVP). To switch, just click the other button. The going count updates immediately.

Do I need an account to RSVP?

Yes. Signed out, the RSVP box shows how many people are going and a Sign in to RSVP button. After you sign in, come back to the event page to RSVP.

What does "Full" mean on an event?

If the host set a capacity, the RSVP box shows "[number] going · [capacity] spots total." When the going count reaches the capacity, the I'm going button changes to Full and can't be clicked. You can still click Interested. If someone who's going clears their RSVP, a spot opens up again.

If you're already going when the event fills, your spot is kept.

Who can see my RSVP?

The event page shows only the number of people going. It doesn't list names, and the Interested count isn't shown. Hosts don't get a list of attendees on the site.

Will I get reminders about events I RSVP to?

No. The site doesn't send notifications or emails about events you've RSVP'd to. Save the date in your own calendar, and check the event page before you go in case details changed.

Does an RSVP mean I have a ticket?

No. An RSVP is just a headcount on Underground Aquarium. If an event needs tickets or admission, the host explains how in the description. Follow the host's instructions there.

Common problems

"Couldn't update your RSVP. Please try again." Your RSVP didn't save. Check your connection and click again.

The I'm going button says Full. The event has reached its capacity. Choose Interested and check back later in case a spot opens.

My RSVP disappeared. You may have clicked your choice a second time, which clears it. Click it again to re-RSVP. If the host deleted the event, the page and RSVPs are gone.

The buttons are grayed out for a moment. Your RSVP is saving. Wait a second before clicking again.
